Following Fat Tuesday, Ash Wednesday ushers in Christians worldwide to the 40-day observance of Lent.
Manayunk and Roxborough's six Catholic churches will celebrate the Holy Day of Obligation at numerous times Wednesday. Catholics are asked to fast and abstain from meat in accordance to Catholic law. For the Archbishop Charles Chaput's message, click here.
