How horrifying. There was also a death in Flourtown today - was someone hit on Mill Road in the late afternoon? Much police activity.

There was NOT a death in Flourtown. It was a minor accident where a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

Was there really a need to post photos of them retrieving the body?

My thoughts exactly. The pictures were incredibly unnecessary.

Oh no! my eyes! The real world, it burns! Shelter me! I agree, some puppy pics or the cutest couple in Roxborough would be more appropriate.

I get that ugly things happen in the real world, but I don't think it's necessary to put pictures of them fishing a body out with a pole online. What about that man's family? I just don't think it's an image that needs to be shared with the world.

maybe they should have left the deceased there for everyone to see. The sensitive constitution that your comment implies is offensive. The world is happening around you. It is dirty and messy. Sharing your inability to deal with it, in the face of death, and the civil servants that clean up the mess for you, smells of ignorance or worse... arrogance. It is exactly the buffer zone of indifference that you shrowd yourself with that allows the evil in this world to fester. I am sure you are wealthy enough to buy a clue, it's ashame that shit isn't sold in a store, huh?

@thatguy: It's not about being shielded from the ugliness or expecting someone to cleanup messes so ignorant and arrogant people wont have to look upon it. It is about respect for the deceased and the poor soul's family. Maybe a little less hatred and a little more kindness would be what would make this world a better place. A filter on your bitterness could work also.

I agree, the pictures were in extremely bad taste and should be removed.

I don't think it was the TD Bank robber! He is still alive and kicking!

Why can't they find anything nice happening in Roxborough?

The man that they are pulling from the river is a friend of mine that has been missing since mid December. These photos are in very bad taste and need to be removed. This is not the way we want to remember our friend. How would you feel if this was a friend or family member that you were grieving over.

If I was dead in a river, i'd want people to see pictures of me. Who is anyone here to speak for the man? Did he discuss that he would never want his body to be seen if he were to die? It's news and I for one want to know everything. I'd like to see shots of him on the slab being autopsied. You people don't speak for everyone in the world. If the author chose to put up pictures, it was the authors call, not yours. Don't want to see it, don't look. jerks.

Another also, if you don't think he jumped from the henry ave bridge, you'd be a fool.

I guess I should let everyone know now, if I am ever found dead in a public place, please don't show pictures of my decomposing body all over the internet.
