Car Accident Closes T & F Farmers Pride

Market shut down from Monday accident.

A Monday evening car accident left an Upper Roxborough business closed two days later.

Philadelphia Police said a 65-year-old woman drove a car through the entrance at T & F Farmers Pride, 8101 Ridge Ave., at 6 p.m. Monday.

Spokesperson Officer Christine O'Brien said Wednesday that a woman lost control of her 2007 Toyota Rav 4, crashing it through the market.

Neither the driver nor anyone in the building were injured, according to O'Brien.

"At the scene, she said she didn't know what happened," O'Brien said. No charges were filed.

On Wednesday, the shop remained closed, with caution tape and signs alerting customers. No one answered the T & F phone, but a voice message said the store hoped to reopen as soon as possible.
