Han Chiang's dream to create an empire of Sichuan restaurants took a step forward with a national nod.

CNN named Chiang's restaurant, Han Dynasty, as a top 50 Chinese food restaurant nationwide.

In its article, CNN spotlighted the restaurant's spicy offerings: "The glaring red of Han Dynasty’s storefront suggests tongue-numbing spice and the place definitely doesn’t disappoint heat-seekers."

The list compiles 50 Chinese food places across the nation and is broken down by state—not chronologically. Han Dynasty, specifically its Center City location, represents Pennsylvania, along with Yangming in Bryn Mawr.

Chiang opened his Manayunk location in December. If you pass buy on Main Street, you'll see the CNN banner proudly displayed.
