Fire at Leverington Cemetery Monday
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Philadelphia Fire Department reported to a fire at the Leverington Cemetery in Roxborough Monday morning.
According to representatives from the Fire Commissioner's Office, police and fire department officials responded to a fire at one of the cemetery's buildings at 7:34 a.m. Monday morning. The fire was under control less than five minutes later, representatives say.
No one was injured during the fire, but damages to the existing structure are not known at this time. The building's function is not known at this time.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Commissioner's office.

I saw heavy smoke coming from the building when I passed on the Route 27 this morning around 7:30.
