Green Lane is closed for construction where it intersects with Ridge Ave. in Roxborough limiting the quickest route to the Schuylkill Expressway.
Of course, cars can still acess the Schuylkill from Ridge by taking Leverington down to Main Street and then turning right onto Green.
Just a minor inconvenience.

What is the construction doing and how long is it supposed to last on Green(without an extra "e") Lane?

It actually has not been such a minor inconvenience when truckers who really want to turn left at Main Street interpret signs at the bottom of the hill as meaning they must proceed straight up hill, then find that the road is closed and they must U-turn their rigs on Green Lane. Ouch!

The intersection has been closed for weeks and it is only getting reported now with no reasons why.

Dumbest article ever, as we all know its closed, yet no info on why or how long the construction will take!?

The editor of patch is doing a great job. Many of us appreciate your hard work Jake. Maybe if you can find the time with your busy schedule which has to be hectic to write an article about how the residents are trying to get the proper sinage posted at the bottom of the Green Lane hill as the signs posted on Ridge Avenue warning the Trucks not to turn down Green Lane. I know of several very distinguished area residents who are trying to get the proper signs posted. I'm sure Councilman Jones will help in this matter.
