Little Apple Presents 'Golden Key' Shopping Event for Charity
Philadelphia Alumni Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma hosts philanthropic event at Manayunk boutique.
For the second straight year, a Manayunk boutique offers a philanthropic shopping event for three local charities.
The Little Apple on Main Street will team up with the Philadelphia Alumni Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma for the "Golden Key Boutique: A Philanthropic Shopping Event," scheduled for April 21.
"I think its a great opportunity for people to shop for Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, spring and summer weddings, and all for a great cause," shop owner Molly Cygan said.
Next Saturday, the shop will raise money for three local charities—A Woman's Place in Doylestown, Bucks County; Baker Industries, in Malvern, Chester County; and Family Support Services from Philadelphia.
Cygan said there are four ways for people to participate:
- 10 percent of sales will go to the charities;
- Three hosted vendors (Stella & Dot, Peace Valley Lavender, and Family Jewel) will also donate 10 percent;
- Other Main Street shops will also participate: Nicole Miller, Tag Denim, The Spiral Bookcase, Orbit Gallery, DIGS and more.
- People can buy themed raffle tickets: Cooking Basket, Main Line Basket, Philly Cheesesteak Basket and others.
