New American Heritage Branch Debuts in ShopRite

Surcharge-free ATM also available.

Continuing the reimaging of the Roxborough ShopRite, American Heritage Federal Credit Union recently opened its newest branch within the Ridge Avenue supermarket.

With a soft opening in May, the credit union's installment returns a bank to Brown’s ShopRite after Citizens Bank departed earlier this year.

Shoppers may have noticed construction past the cash registers throughout the spring as American Heritage remodeled its space. In a news release the credit union boasted about its banking technology.

"The branch is American Heritage’s fourth location to deploy Personal Automated Teller machines—combining the convenience of an ATM with a highly-personal two-way video interaction," the release said. "While the branch will be staffed by a branch manager, an assistant branch manager and a member service officer, all teller transactions will be handled through the PAT machine."

In addition, the supermarket now carries a surcharge-free ATM from American Heritage.

According to press materials, American Heritage is the country's 149th largest credit union that has 115,000 members with 25 branches throughout the Philadelphia suburbs.

The new bank installation goes along with an interior remodel, which includes aesthetic changes and new food offerings. Read more about the renovation here.

American Heritage will host a grand opening June 15 from 3 to 6 p.m., according to ShopRite co-owner Sandy Brown.
