Though it looked fearsome, a weekend Main Street car fire left no one injured, the Philadelphia Fire Department said.

Executive Fire Chief Richard Davidson said Tuesday that fire crews responded to the 3700 block of Main St. Nov. 10 before 3:30 a.m. with reports of a car fire near the Bridge Five Condominiums in Manayunk.

The car, a 2005 Crown Victoria, caught fire due to an electrical problem, Davidson said.

No injuries were reported, he said.

Dennis Burd submitted a photo of the fire and said he heard several loud explosions and the car burned for about 30 minutes.
