Northern Children's Services received approval from the Wissahickon Interested Citizens Association last week for a new sign that would go in front of the facility located at 5301 Ridge Ave.

The new sign will be bigger than the old sign, and it will have two spotligts on each side of the sign. 

A representative from Northern Children's Services assured WICA that the lights would not shine into neighbors' homes or on-coming traffic.

Northern Children's Services offers a wide range of social services incuding counseling, foster care placement and juvenile delinquency prevention.
