Officers Catch Teens Breaking into Silverwood St. Cars, Police Say
Philadelphia Police say officers apprehended one teen for allegedly breaking into car.
Philadelphia Police say two officers allegedly caught Roxborough teens in the process of breaking into a car.
At 11:30 p.m. Nov. 5 the officers patrolled the 4400 block of Silverwood Street. Police said the officers observed three teens casing out vehicles.
One teen, a juvenille, then broke into a white 2006 Mazada Tribute, when police approached them.
The three teens fled the scene, but police were able to catch the one who broke into the car at 4500 Wilde St. The other two escaped.
Police followed up with the vehicle owner and confirmed that the teens were not allowed to enter his car.
The teen was arrested and processed at Northwest Detective Division. As a minor, police did not disclose his name.
