Forecasts predict Hurricane Sandy will make its way up the East Coast this weekend. The extent of the storm and its impact on the Philadelphia region is up in the air.

The City of Philadelphia's Office of Emergency Management currently prepares to face the storm.

In this video, Samantha Phillips, Philadelphia's deputy managing director for Emergency Management, discusses the step the city is taking.

Phillips recommends citizens to develop a Household Emergency Plan, creating a Home Emergency Kit and signing up for emergency text/email alerts from ReadyNotifyPA.
