Do you think you can capture the spirit of Roxborough in a few words? If so, the Roxborough Development Corporation is looking for you.

The corporation is currently holding a slogan contest that will run through the end of the month.

"It came about because we are trying to brand Roxborough," Bernard Guet, executive director of the corporation said. "Everyone knows where Center City is but people are not sure where Roxborough is, we want to make it a destination."

Guet said the slogan committee is looking for something catchy and although they've had 10 or so submissions nothing has caught their eye. 

That's why the contest, that was supposed to run through June was extended through July.

The best way to submit a response is via e-mail the executive director added.

"All we need is one good one," he said, adding that if a slogan fit for the area is not submitted by the end of the month the corporation may resume the contest in September.

"It's the summer," Guet said. "People have a lot going on."
