It is a magnet school in Philadelphia. Basically the best 800 or so students in the city get to enter in their middle school program. Then they reduce the class by half for the ones entering the high school part of Masterman so you have taken the cream of the crop and then thin it out even more. They only have about 400 students in their HS program. I used to live right behind it on 16th Street in Philly.

How many of the students in each of these school had private tutoring for the SAT vs the number of students in each of these schools that did not have tutoring?

What is the break down in SAT performance of those students who received private one-to-one tutoring, private group tutoring, an in school SAT prep class, and students who prepared on their own?

Do these schools report (all) scores of all students who take the SAT's or do some only report those scores that have made the definite decision to attend college?

Do to the fact that students may take the SAT's a number of times and that the highest scores from each section is submitted; how many times has each of the students whose scores were reported taken the SAT's?

I would love to know the answer to the question how many had private tutoring ... seems like everyone gets some sort of SAT tutoring either classroom based or private or both ..

Why have neighboring high schools been excluded form your list? They are available from the same download at PDE. Is it because Downingtown out ranked West Chester?

It is a bit strange that Downingtown East and West were left out. Downingtown East Had a combined 1637, beating all the West Chester Schools. But, Downingtown West scored much lower then Henderson at 1576.
