Touring of its debut, self-titled album, The Pinkerton Raid swung by the Grape Room in Manayunk earlier this month.

The Durham, NC,-based band consists of lead singer/songwriter James DeConto with siblings Katie (keyboards) and Stephen (guitar) and husband-and-wife Tim and Laura Wooten on drums and keyboards, respectively.

In a Patch interview, DeConto said the family feel led to an awesome rapport:

"There's a level of trust that you can't manufacture. We, as brothers and sisters, can communicate in ways different than people who don't know each other so well."
