Where to Ring in the New Year Around the City and Suburbs

Patch details several regional options to welcome in 2012.

 

New Year's Eve is a happening night all around the Delaware Valley. Many towns and neighborhoods boast numerous Dec. 31 offerings. Below is a large, but hardly comprehensive, list of festivities in parts of Northwest Philadelphia, the Main Line, and suburban Montgomery and Delaware counties. Please add other options in the comments.

Main Street Manayunk Celebrations
Location: Main Street, Philadelphia
Summary: Numerous bars on Main Street in Manayunk are offering New Year's parties of various packages, including: Jake & Cooper's Wine Bar, Mad River, Bourbon Blue, Manayunk Brewery, the Grape Room, Lucky's Last Chance and the Bayou and Cactus Cantina.

Valley Green Inn Special Menu
Location: Valley Green Inn. 7 Valley Green Road, Philadelphia
Time: Seatings from 5 to 10 p.m.
Summary: Enjoy a quiet, four-course meal at this bucolic eatery along the Wissahickon Creek near Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy and Roxborough-Manayunk.

New Year's Eve Party at O'Doodles
Location: O'Doodles Toy Store. 8335 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia (Chestnut Hill)
Time: Noon
Summary: This toy store hosts an annual kids New Year's party in the afternoon Dec. 31. Free family fun.

New Year's Eve at Paramour

Time: 5 p.m.
Cost: $125
Summary: A five-course meal with choices like grilled Maine lobster or pan-roasted beef tenderloin. Wine pairing is available for an additional $50 per person.

Location: Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen, 555 East Lancaster Avenue, Radnor Time: A la Carte Menu 4 to 7:30 p.m., 8:45 p.m. to 1 a.m. for a dinner and dancing and a champagne toast at midnight  with a 5 course menu.

Cost: $75.00 per person. Tax and gratuity are not included.

When: 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Summary: Ring in the New Year with LG & The Road Dogs. Celebrate with dinner, a champagne toast and party favors.

New Year’s Eve Champagne Sleepover at The Radnor Hotel
Location: The Radnor Hotel. 591 East Lancaster Ave., Radnor
Cost: $299 for two
Summary: A packaged deal, this overnight at the hotel includes a four-course dinner with glass of Champagne, a bottle of Domaine Chandon Brut Champagne and, yes, more Champagne—at a Sunday brunch.
