The results are in and readers chose Cafe Roma Pastry, 6147 Ridge Ave., as their favorite cupcake shop in the Roxborough-Manayunk area for this week's Readers' Choice poll.

The Roxborough store, owned by the Roma family, won with 64 percent of the vote. Sweet Elizabeth's Cakes also had a strong showing.

Commenters displayed their support for Cafe Roma's with much enthusiasm.

"Cafe Roma by far has the best cupcakes! Fresh and all made from scratch 'old school bakery.' I love their red velvet, it's the best!" Johnny 5 said.

Angela Sposato called it the "best kept secret in Philadelphia."

Debbie Thomas showed love for the runner up, too:

"I love the cupcakes at Cafe Roma. In fact everything else I've had there so far has been great too! I am going to have to try Sweet Elizabeth's cupcakes. They came in 2nd and that's pretty good considering they haven't been on Main Street that long."
