The Schuylkill Center recently discovered a hand-drawn map from 1974 showing the location of all the “giant” trees on our land. Using this treasure map, we’ll explore our 340 acres in search of these giants and along the way discover what makes forests so fantastic.
Extended day until 6:00 pm is available for an additional fee of $15/day. Pre-registration is required.

More About The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education
The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education is an "urban environmental education center." It exists to promote the preservation of the environment and focuses on four distinct areas, "environmental education, wildlife rehabilitation, land restoration and environmental art."
The center is composed of a main building that houses interactive exhibits, a gift and book shop, an art gallery and meeting rooms. Also located on the property is an amphitheater and picnic pavilion.
More than three miles of hiking trails wind through the property and are open daily for individuals to explore the surrounding nature. Educational programs are held throughout the year for students, teachers, kids and adults.
