Beer Tasting, Civic Association and More on Thursday
There's a beer tasting at The Foodery and the Central Roxborough Civic Association will meet.
Here's what's going on Thursday in Roxborough.
Wendy's meeting: The Central Roxborough Civic Association meets on the first Thursday of every month except July and August at 7:30 p.m. at Leverington Presbyterian Church on Ridge Avenue across from Gorgas Park. The agenda for the October meeting includes a review and discussion of the proposed Wendy's at 5901 Ridge (Ridge and Roxborough). The meeting is open to the public.
Beer Tasting: There will be a beer tasting at The Foodery located at 6148 Ridge Ave. on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
This day in history: On Oct. 3, 1849, American author Edgar Allan Poe is found delirious in a gutter in Baltimore, Maryland under mysterious circumstances; it is the last time he is seen in public before his death.
