Mayor Nutter to Perform with Pennsylvania Ballet

The mayor will appear in a Sunday production of "Coppelia."

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will make his debut with the Pennsylvania Ballet this weekend.

In a special one-time-only performance, Nutter will take the stage to perform, fittingly, the role of "The Mayor" in the Pennsylvania Ballet's production of Coppelia.

According to the Pennsylvania Ballet, Coppelia is the story of a mysterious toymaker, Dr. Coppelius, who makes a doll that he hopes will someday come to life.

Mayor Nutter will perform in the 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, production.
