Cash for Women’s Education

Ladies, are you trying to improve life for yourself and your family?  Are you going back to school?  Do you need financial assistance to complete your education?  Do you need cash for college?  How much?  $500?  $1,000?  $3,000?  How about $10,000? 

Since 1972, Soroptimist has been helping women the world over reclaim their dreams through the Women’s Opportunity Awards program.  This program provides cash grants to women who are working to better their

lives through additional skills training and education.

You are eligible to apply for the Women’s Opportunity Awards program if you are a woman and:

•         Have primary financial responsibility for yourself and your dependants,

•         Attend an undergraduate degree program or a vocational skills training program, and

  • Have financial need.

Soroptimist International of Roxborough, PA is seeking applicants for the Women’s Opportunity Awards program.  The club grants one 1st place award of $500 to the school of the winner to help defray the cost of her education.  Recipients are chosen on the basis of having clearly defined career goals as well as financial need.  The 1st place winner’s application will be submitted to and considered at higher levels of the Soroptimist organization.  Three top awards ($10,000 each) are granted.  Each completed application and two references must be received by the Club by the deadline of December 15, 2013.
