Creating an Outdoor Classroom (Take It Outside)
Cook Wissahickon will expand it's environmental efforts by initiating an informational and interactive initiative to develop an outdoor classroom to coincide with a 10,000 SF meadow we have installed on our campus. For our 2013 Green Apple Day of Service we will kickoff our school's Green effort by providing education and interactive activities related to the importance of native ecosystems and their impact on our watershed by providing a defense against storm water run-off. We hope to engage the participation of several community partners to provide educational and hands on activities to highlight these relationships.
