Cleanup Event Scheduled for Germany Hill Tuesday

From 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday the Ivy Ridge Green is hosting a volunteer cleanup at Germany Hill. 

Ivy Ridge Green, according to its website, "is Roxborough and Manayunk's all-volunteer landscaping, tree-planting and greening collective."

The group volunteers every other Tuesday evening at different locations in the neighborhood. Some major projects, the website continued, include the Fountain Street steps, Germany Hill, the Ivy Ridge Trail and the Upper Roxborough Reservoir. 

This week's volunteer hours will be spent cleaning up Germany Hill, which is a 20-acre wooded tract bounded by Fountain, Smick and Mansion Streets and Parker Avenue. 

Volunteers will be meeting at Smick and Fountain Streets.
