Why Go: Crossroads Coffee House will host a private concert to benefit The Friends of Gorgas Park.  The concert will feature Philly artist Ben Arnold.

Flea Market

Where/When:  Saturday, April 13, 2013, 8:00 am Shawmont Elementary School, 535 Shawmont Ave, Philadelphia, PA

Why Go: Shawmont Elementary School will be hosting a flea market for residents who are looking to clean out their house for the spring or, maybe, just lookg for a bargain or two.  All proceeds benefit the Shawmont Elementary School Student Incentive Program.

Photography Workshop

Where/When: Saturday, April 13, 2013, 10:00 am The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, 8480 Hagys Mill Rd, Philadelphia

Why Go: Local photographer Joshua Marowitz will work with workshop participants on the cyanotype process for developing photos.  Participants will go on a hike to collect natural specimens, and then they will use the process to take home their own piece of self-made art.
