Development Corporation Makes Renovations on Lyceum

The Roxborough Development Corporation completed a $150,000 historic renovation project on Lyceum Avenue.

The Roxborough Development Corporation recently completed a $150,000 project on Lyceum Avenue to make historic renovations to seven properties on Lyceum between Pechin Street and Ridge Avenue.

The RDC chose the seven homes as a pilot program for the “Roxborough Front Porch Project” that aims to restore the historic characteristics of the streetscape.

The RDC received a $30,000 grant from the Preservation Alliance for the project, while the rest of the money came from property owners and the RDC.

Working with an architect, the RDC made historic renovations including porch floor repairs, column replacement, cornice restoration, paint stripping and landscaping.

The RDC hopes that the project will assist with future fundraising efforts as the development corporation continues to try to restore the historical character of Roxborough.
