Gorgas Park Harvest Festival

  • When: Sunday, Oct 14, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Where: Gorgas Park
  • Why Go: Bring the family out for a day of fall festivities.  There will be food, games, pig roast, crafters, rides, caramel apples, scarecrow making, petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, live music and more.  
  • Cost: Free

Fundraiser for Philadelphia Police Officer Brian Lorenzo

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from 2 p.m. - 6p.m.
  • Where: The Bayou Bar & Grill 4245 Main St
  • Why Go: The Bayou Bar & Grill and The Cactus Restaurant and Bar present a fundraiser for fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Brian Lorenzo.  Come out and show your support for the Lorenzo Family.  Enjoy draft beer, well drinks, food, and door prizes, including Eagles tickets, 50/50 raffle, gift certificate give-aways, and more - for a great cause.  All proceeds to benefit the Lorenzo family.

Fall for the Arts Festival

  • When: Sunday, Oct 14 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Where: Germantown Avenue, between Willow Grove and Rex Avenues
  • Why Go: Come enjoy a day of art, music, delicious food and shopping. Germantown Avenue will be transformed into an outdoor arts and crafts marketplace.  For additional information, please visit their website.
  • Cost: Free

2nd Annual Walk for Wishes

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 14 at 9 a.m
  • Where: Morris Arboretum
  • Why Go: Walk for Wishes is a fundraising and awareness event for Make A Wish that helps make local children's wishes come true. Come enjoy a less than 2 mile walk help support these kids who have life threatening medical conditions. Stay after and enjoy the Arboretum for the day.
  • Cost: $15 adult

Riverbend's Shiverfest

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 13 from 4 - 9 p.m.
  • Where: Riverbend Environmental Education Center 1950 Spring Mill Rd, Gladwyne
  • Why Go: Enjoy a night out of spooktacular fun.  Children will delight in the array of activities scattered throughout the uniquely engaging site. There will be animal shows, pumpkin decorating, campfire and legendary storytelling.  For the youngest - bring them in costume and have them play on the moonbounce, get their face painted and go on the trick-or-treat trail.  When it gets dark, it's time for the haunted hike on a steep trail.  Sustenance for all is available from McShea’s and in-kind donations of adult beverages from Victory will be back by popular demand.
