Learn the Secrets of Manayunk Saturday

"The Secrets of Manayunk" will be held in Pretzel Park from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Think you know everything these is to know about Manayunk? Test your knowledge Saturday at "The Secret History of Manayunk" in . 

The event, slated from 2 to 6 p.m. and hosted by and The Friends of Pretzel Park will discuss the historical milestones and bizarre facts of the area. 

The event will feature talks by The Kelpius Society and Thom Nickels, a columnist and author of Manayunk and Philadelphia Architecture.

Here's a schedule for the day: 

  • Historical presentations will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. 
  • Local tour guide Nicholas Bucci will present at historical exhibit in the park and be open for discussions and questions during the event 
  • An open mic will follow from 4 to 6 p.m. The open mic is an open invitation to all local singers, songwriters and poets to round out the day and share their personal histories through song or poetry, a release from the bookcase stated, adding that anyone interested in participating in asked to e-mail spiralbookcase@gmail.com. 

Food will be provided by and will be first come, first serve.

Manayunk and Philadelphia Architecture will be available for purchase the day of the event.
