Tough Traveling in Manayunk Thursday

There was heavy traffic on the roads, suspended train lines and detoured buses.

Although Main Street was not flooded as of 8 a.m. Thursday, travel still proved difficult. 

Cars on Main Street, Green Lane and Baker Street, all traveling toward the Green Lane Bridge were at a standstill. And people couldn't escape the traffic on the train, the Norristown Line is suspended. 

Septa bus routes 61 and 62 have been detoured around Main Street due to high waters, its website said.

Ridge Avenue at the I-76 Interchange is closed due to a mudslide, and according to ReadyNotifyPa, I-76 eastbound is closed from I-476 to Girard Avenue. 

Those who take Kelly Drive to work were out of luck, the road is closed and reportedly buckling in the area of the Twin Bridges. The southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Drive are closed, a release from the Philadelphia Police stated.

A flood watch is in effect for the city until 4 p.m. Thursday and a flash flood warning is in effect until 11:15 a.m.
