Week Ahead: New Student Tea, Schuylkill Center Field Trip

New Student TeaThe Shawmont Home and School Association will be hosting a new student tea for both parents and students.  The tea will take place at the school on Wednesday at 10 a.m.  Here's how the association describes it: "This is a great opportunity for new Shawmont Students and their families to get information about the school and it's programs, ask questions, tour the school and meet their teacher.  Light Refreshments will be served."

Schuylkill Center Field TripOn Thursday the Schuylkill Center for Education will host an excursion to Hawk Mountain in Berks County with the bus leaving at 8 a.m.  Here's how the center describes the trip: "Join us for an exciting field trip to Hawk Mountain. We'll hike to the summit in search of migrating bald eagles, hawks and falcons soaring above. You bring the hiking shoes; we'll provide the binoculars. This trip will return at 5:00 pm and is limited to 25 participants. For ages 5-12.  $75 (Schuylkill members $65) Contact: scee@schuylkillcenter.org or 215-482-7300x110."
