Author and Sommelier at The Spiral Bookcase Friday

Olivier Magney, author of Stuff Parisians Like, a book based off what some have called his "smart, hilarious and witty" blog, will be at Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. for a book signing and discussion. 

Although he's still young, the Parisian has become the French spokesman for the wine world's new generation, a release stated, adding that he was recently referred to as the "Jamie Oliver of wine."

He started his own wine tasting school when he was 24 and the school has been ranked as Paris' number one wine tasting company by Frommer's. He has spent his career, the release continued, "spreading the belief that the world of wine is a democratic one which everyone can and should enjoy."

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at event for $15. If event-goers call ahead to reserve a copy of the book they will receive 10 percent off the book.  To order a copy call 215-482-0704. Light refreshments will be provided.
