Kline Studios, which provides fine and performing arts classes for kids, will be opening a new location in Manayunk.  Classes will take place in the school building at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday afternoons beginning September 25th,  from 4:15-6:15.  Kline Studios will be offering art, music, dance and drama for kids ages four to eleven.  The weekly cost is $15.00 per class, or $40.00 for the entire program.  The Klines will host an open house at Holy Family on Sunday, September 23 from 8:30 – 1:00.  The open house is free, and will give families a chance to meet the Klines and participate in sample classes.

John and Christine Kline, the creators and owners of Kline Studios, have 32 years of teaching experience between them.  John is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and has been teaching at Bryn Mawr’s Country Day School of the Sacred Heart for 12 years.  Christine Kline has been teaching music at the same school for 20 years, and holds a BA in music from Immaculata University as well as a M.M. in Music Education from Boston University.  Both John and Christine are also working artists and have been featured in museums and venues such as the Museum of American Art, Artworks Gallery at the Philadelphia Art Museum, the Academy of Music, the Kimmel Center, and Carnegie Hall.  The two have been providing arts classes for five years after organizing fine and performing arts camps in the Bryn Mawr area for 10 years.

Brochures with registration forms are available at Holy Family Church and local shops in Manayunk and Roxborough.  Students can also call to reserve a spot, 610-688-2236, or register online.  To register online go to www.klinecreative.com and click on “Kline Studios” followed by live classes.  “We are looking forward to being part of this community” says Christine Kline, “ and hope to meet a lot of new families at the open house on the 23rd”.
