The Burroughs welcomed Kline Studios with open arms this past Sunday at the open house held in the school building at Holy Family Catholic Church. Students participated in classes and enjoyed doughnuts, while parents sipped coffee and chatted. The Klines are transforming classrooms into studios in the former Holy Child Catholic School, and hope to help keep the creative spirit alive in the building that educated countless area children. Classes in art. music, dance and drama for children ages 4 to 11 will be offered on Tuesdays from 4:15 – 6:15.
John and Christine Kline have over 30 years of classroom art and music teaching experience between them at the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Bryn Mawr. The Klines have also been running after-school arts programs for kids for 15 years, and have been offering Kline Studios after-school programs for 5 years. “We are so excited to have a chance to offer the Kline Studios programs in this community”, says Christine. Kline Studios classes begin Tuesday, September 25. Students have the option to register for individual classes, or enroll in the entire program where they will be able to participate in music, art, dance and drama all in one afternoon.
