5 Mardi Gras Deals in Manayunk

Mardi Gras is here, and Main Street businesses are offering various food and drink specials Tuesday night. While New Orleans-themed locales like Bourbon Blue and The Bayou Bar and Grill certainly celebrate Fat Tuesday, other places in Manayunk are, as well.

Bourbon Blue

This restaurant and bar is always honoring its Cajun heritage, and Mardi Gras is no different. Deals include New Orleans hurricanes for $4 all night, a half-off happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m. with $3 Coors Lite and Blue Moon. Beads and masks will, of course, be available.

You can try to catch one of two themed meals for Fat Tuesday. At lunch, there's a Muffaletta Panini and at dinner it's New Orleans jambalaya.

The Bayou Bar and Grill
4245 Main St.
Another bar based on New Orleans, The Bayou has lunch, dinner and late night deals. From 11 a.m. to  2 a.m., the bar offers 20-cent wings, $1.50 crabs, and $1.75 Bud Lights. From 9 to 11 p.m., catch $4 hurricanes. and a Phillies ticket giveaway.

Weekly, Mad River presents it GLO nightclub. During Mardi Gras, Mad River will give away beads to the first 100 customers, and prizes will come to intense Fat Tuesday celebrants.

Though not Mardi Gras-themed, per say, this swanky restaurant has two deals on Fat Tuesday. All day, candy-infused martinis are $5 and baby back ribs and fries cost $6.
