Cash Mob Returns to Manayunk

Effort to rally around local businesses continues at The Little Apple.

A grassroots effort to support local businesses with "flash mob" like enthusiasm will return to Manayunk later this month.

Cash Mob Philly hosts its next event at , 4353 Main St., Manayunk from 7 to 10 p.m. July 26. Essentially, organizers spread the word for people to patronize a specific local business(es) through social media.

"Cash Mob Philly is about showing that local businesses have good deals, too, and the ripple effect from buying at a local business, who also supports the local economy, is huge. It's something I believe in," organizer Shahrzad "Shaz" Kojouri first graced Main Street.

In March, Kojouri organized an event at and the . The Cash Mob returns with a stop at The Little Apple and an eatery to be named later.

"If you've never been you are MISSING OUT—this shop is filled to the brim with delightfully clever gifts. The Little Apple is your one-stop shop for unique vintage and repurposed homegoods, accessories and cards," the Facebook event said.
