2). Opening Reception for artist Mike Muir’s exhibit “Eclectic Inspirations”

 

Where/When: The Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center, 419 Green Lane, Roxborough, Saturday March 5 from noon to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Because Mike’s oil paintings are a visual experience, one you surely won’t want to miss.

3). Jeffrey Mitchell & The Modern Hypocrites musical performance

Why Go: Because watching live music at this local, acoustically blessed café is always enjoyable.

4). The 2011 Philadelphia Flower Show

 

Where/When: The Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch streets, Center City, Sunday March 6 through Sunday March 13.

 

Why Go: Because, as the largest indoor flower show in the world, there’s got to be something of visual interest.

 

Pricing: Varies between $15 and $30.

 

5).  Oneness Blessing and Meditation With Kalyani

 

Where/When: Yoga on Main, 4363 Main St., Manayunk, Sunday March 6 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

 

Why Go: Because it’s always good to cleanse the soul and mind.
