Little Updates on Proposed Roxborough Planet Fitness

Central Roxborough Civic Association returns from summer hiatus.

There was little to report at Central Roxborough Civic Association’s meeting last night despite state Representative Pam DeLissio being in attendance. Fewer than 10 residents were present for the meeting at on Ridge Avenue.

While rumors were passed around that may install a digital sign on its premises, little else was known about the situation. The hospital had not come to CRCA for zoning discussions as of Thursday's meeting. Residents were hopeful that the issue would come before the association soon.

Additionally, little was known about the recent activities of the that is taking over the vacant property formerly owned by the Golden Chrysler Plymouth Dealership, but CRCA President Ed Hotham said there were rumors that the gym is working with PennDot to iron out issues with parking lot exits.

The CRCA’s agenda for October will be more active. A representative from PennDot will be present to field questions about improvements taking place on , and zoning involving a property on the 500 block of Leverington Street will also be discussed.
