Moms Eat Local: Mugshots Cafe

Find out how kid-friendly Mugshots Cafe in Manayunk is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Mugshots Coffeehouse is a good place to eat with your children.

Is there a kids’ menu? No but there are kids' size "recovery shakes" which are 100% natural fruit drinks blended with ice in addition to sandwiches, bagels, baked goods, smoothies, eggs, and soup.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The sandwiches, wraps, and soups are made from local ingredients when possible. The eggs are from pastured hens and there are numerous vegetarian items. The food here has few preservatives and additives.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? In addition to the vegetarian items, there are vegan items to boot (which is nice for those who are lactose intolerant). They also have vegan margarine. For other allergies, alert the staff and they will be as accommodating as they can be.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Small cries will go unnoticed.
