Plugging the Ridge Avenue diner gap, Daiva's Diner and Grille opened Wednesday night in Roxborough.
Located at the former Ridge Diner (and long-time ago Pizza Hut), Daiva's Diner and Grille is operated by Daiva Pilinkaite, herself formerly of the Domino Diner.
Work on the site at 6742 Ridge Ave. is nearly complete. Workers installed a new sign and flowers are planted around the exterior.

Inside, Pilinkaite implemented changes to update but not drastically change the interior.
Previously, : "I want this to be more upscale for a diner and grille. A high-class place. I think the locals deserve a better place with good service, and I'm going to provide that," she said.

She promises a better quality of food, and says it will be BYOB.
