Phillies Tickets Among Most Expensive in the Country, Report Says

At a cost of $37 on average per ticket, the Phillies are among the five most expensive professional baseball teams to see live.

Want to catch a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park? You’ll pay more to see live baseball than in most cities.

At a cost of $37 on average per ticket, the Phillies are among the five most expensive professional baseball teams to see live, according to a story on Philly.com.

The only teams that will put more of a dent in your wallet to see are the Boston Red Sox ($52 on average), the New York Yankees ($51 on average) and the Chicago Cubs ($46 on average).  The Phillies are fourth, with the Washington Nationals following them at $35 per ticket on average.

Nationwide, professional baseball ticket prices average $27, according to Team Marketing Report

That’s still significantly lower than the price of an average NBA ticket ($52), or a ticket to an NFL game, which costs about $61. If you go to see the Phillies play, you’ll still be spending much less than the cost of the average Sunday NFL football game, which costs about $81 to attend,  according to Team Marketing Report.

And seeing them on TV got more expensive too. Comcast took all the games off of broadcast TV channels and basic cable for the rest of the year and the future. To see them on TV from now on you have to subscribe to Cable TV and buy the next tier up from basic cable.

37 bucks to get puked on and hear unfiltered foul language? Heck, I can visit my local college campus and get that for free!

Comcast mafia blocks every Phillies game on Direct tv and I pay extra for the MLB package. Take a trip to Camden Yards. It's a beautiful stadium with charming people, Hon! Stay at the Hilton overlooking Camden Yards. We're O's and Ravens fans since Comcast blocks all local sports if you don't choose them.

Overpayed bunch of louts in those teams and many are proving thmselves to be so by their inabilities. I stopped going to sports games after I and my daughter got a beer shower by a drunk from an upper level and nothing was done... None of my "earned" money for their betting parlor...
