Philly Has 'America's Best Coffee Shop'

Philadelphia has the best coffee shops, at least according to one list.

Daily Meal released its list of “America’s Best Coffee Shops”  and a number of Philadelphia-area shops made the list. Ultimo, in South Philadelphia, topped the list, but other nearby locations like Town Hall Coffee in Merion Station also made the list.

That’s all well and good, but what’s the best place to get a cup of coffee in Roxborough-Manayunk?

According to Yelp.com, the two highest-rated coffee shops in Roxborough-Manayunk are Volo on Main Street and Crossroads on Ridge Avenue (though it’s worth mentioning that Town Hall in Merion Station and the High Point Café in Mt. Airy also both come up highly rated).

On our site, the highest-rated coffee shop is the shop that won our Reader's Choice honors in 2012. Patch user Helen Bradly has this to say about the shop:

Crossroads is awesome! The coffee is delicious, so are the specialty drinks. I recommend the vanilla chai. If you order food, give yourself some extra time - but it's worth it. Say hi to Mike (both of them).
