Pizzeria DiMeo's to Start Serving Pizza Again

The Roxborough eatery will begin serving pizza again on Thursday after a couple of days off to install a new oven.

While the name is still a mouthful, Pizzeria DiMeo's Ristorante Napoletano will offer a full menu once again on Thursday after their new pizza oven was installed this week.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, DiMeo's recently installed a brand new Valoriani wood fire oven from Italy.

The restaurant was closed on Monday as the new oven was installed, but it reopened again on Tuesday with a limited menu.

Right now, staff is busy curing the oven so that it is ready for business.

Curing is the process of building larger and larger fires in the oven over an extended period of time in order to remove excess moisture from the manufactoring process.
