Restaurant Roundup: Couch Tomato Cafe to Xilantro

Patch reviews Couch Tomato Café, Original Eagle Pizza, Cosi, Shogun 3 Steakhouse, Mt. Airy Deli and Mini Market, The Greeks, The Stone Rose and Xilantro.

Looking for a good restaurant to go to this weekend?

Roxborough-Manayunk Patch brought you the details of  Thursday. An Israeli chef and New England general manager are the dynamic duo behind the casual Main Street eatery. The two obviously get along quite well but could not have more divergent palates. Click  for the Meet the Chef and General Manager.

If that restaurant isn’t to your liking, check out other area restaurants that Patch reviewed this week:

A great supreme pizza and delicious grilled chicken souvlaki are highly recommended at this neighborhood pizza shop. The management changed a few years ago but the food is still as good as I remember. Click for the review.

Convenient, casual and cost-effective, this popular national chain offers up some dependable sandwiches, salads and a crowd-pleasing chicken margherita pizza. Click for the review.

Despite the lofty moniker, this strip mall sushi and steakhouse offers up merely decent fare. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the prices are more than friendly. Click for the review.

Mt. Airy Deli and Mini Market 7200 Devon Street Philadelphia, PA 19119

A great turkey hoagie, every variety of chip under the sun and it’s all served up with a smile. It’s not difficult to figure out why the locals love this local deli. Click here for the review.

A great Greek salad, wonderful hospitality and a somewhat limited outdoor dining area are what stick out from my last visit here. Stop in for a quick lunch or a late night beer. Click for the review.

Delightful salads and a killer bread pudding are the standouts at this local eatery. Stop in for happy hour or a great meal with some creative flourishes. Click for the review.

Xilantro 103 North Wayne Avenue Wayne, PA 19087

Upscale Mexican cuisine in an ultra modern setting combines with an extensive tequila bar at this new neighborhood hot spot. The menu items have some kinks but these should be ironed out in due time. Click for the review.
