Say Goodbye to Saxby's

The coffee shop on Main Street closed.

Although this isn't the first time 's has left Main Street, it seems it may be the final time.

The big glass windows in the front of the store reveal an empty space rather than the bustling coffee shop that it was just a week ago. Signs on the windows give Saxby's loyalists a list of other locations in the area.

During its time on Main Street, there seem to have been a few bumps in the road for Saxby's. Just two months ago the coffee shop received an eviction notice and it in January of 2011 due to debt from it's owner, Patch reported earlier.

According to a letter that was e-mailed to Patch in July, Main Philly Coffeehouse is in bankrupcy and the courts ruled that the lease for the property had been rejected.

But it doesn't look like the Main Street spot will be vacant for long. According to a report from Newsworks,is hoping to expand into the space and create a full service delicatessen complete with hot and cold foods, a barista area, a dipping station with 18 flavors of ice cream and indoor and outdoor seating.
