Manayunk and Roxborough boast numerous businesses up and down Main Street and Ridge Avenue, respectively. While many long-time merchants continue their local successes, several new businesses have opened up in 2012.
Below is a sampling of some businesses that debuted in the past year.
The Wall Cycling Studio

The cycling studio at 100 Levering St. had its' grand opening back in June, just in time for Manayunk's famous bike race. Owner/instructor Julie Sabella's businesses is currently offering six, 45-minute classes each weekday- (5:15. 6:15 and 7:15 both a.m and p.m), as well as weekend classes and future open cycling hours during the day.

Yanako
Chef Moon Krapugthong, of Chabaa Thai and the former Mango Moon, teamed with head chef Haruo Ige to create Yanako, Manayunk's latest sushi restaurant at 4255 Main St. Krapugthong and Ige strive to be “simple but sophisticated with a simple price.”

Main Street Wine Cellar
The award-winning Bucks County winery, Crossing Vineyards, opened up a new location at 4386 Main St. in Manayunk at 2012's Art's Festival. Manayunk natives, Larry and Debbi Milillo teamed with Crossing Vineyard's Carroll family to bring the store, which offers about 28 different wines to Manayunk.

Hidden River Yarn
Owner Lisa Johnson, opened Hidden River Yarns located at 4358-B Main St in September. The store serves as a one-stop shop for all your knitting and crocheting needs. Johnson, also hosts a knitting circle every Thursday evening, as well as classes for both novice and pro knitters.

The Foodery
The Foodery craft beer bottle shop opened their long awaited third location at 6148 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough on December 27. The store's interior includes tables for dining and a Boar's Head Deli amongst the refrigerators carrying between 700 and 800 craft beers from America and around the world.

Latitudes and Longitudes
The one-stop gift shop at 4325 Main St. opened their doors back in June. Owner Meredith Podob's store offers various items for consumer's gift needs, such as jewelry, lotions and candles as well as items for men such as ties, flasks and cuff links. Podob also hosts a gallery opening for artists whose work hangs in her shop throughout the month.
