Vote for the Best Pizza Place in Ardmore, Merion or Wynnewood

Patch wants to know your favorite spot to grab a slice.

Last week it was “Best Coffee Place.” And by “place,” we didn’t mean just any spot where you could purchase java over the counter—it had to be a café, a joint to drop into for a jolt and maybe a muffin ... a place. A joint like in Merion Station, which against some stiff competition.

This week, the idea is similar: pizza places. Sure, you can get pizza in the supermarket, even the non-frozen kind. You can get it in some fine restaurants, too. But that’s not what we’re after in this poll.

We want to know where you go as a pizza destination: either to sit and enjoy a slice with a Coke or a beer, or a place you have on speed-dial to take out and bring home to watch the Phill, er…. Eag… wait… …to take home and watch “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO, say.

There’s on Rittenhouse Place, Original Eagle Pizza on Haverford Road, in the Wynnewood Shopping Center (recently honored by Philadelphia Magazine in the “slice” category), and by the Ardmore train station.

Maybe your taste goes to something a bit different, like on County Line Road in Ardmore. There’s in Ardmore, a fancier kind of place that’s got wood-fired pizza baked on-site.

Or are you a traditionalist and head to for your ’za craving? Is it in Penn Wynne that you are loyal to? in Wynnewood?

Vote in the survey below, and click on the links above, too, so you can rate and review each place on its Patch Place listing.

If we missed any in the poll, let us know in the comments section.

What about Carlino's? Best pizza or best pizza place? We should have a pizza taste off - there should be waaaay better pizza than exists around here. I go to Garrett Hill to Conestoga Pizza.

I would vote for Felicia's Pizza Kitchen in Ardmore - authentic wood fired brick oven pizza - fabulous. His Artichoke Heart & Turkey Sausage pizza is to die for.

As a South Philly transplant I gotta say that there are only two decent pies in this area. One is Marrone's (but they don't deliver), the other is made by my man Tony at Felicia's (they do). All the others are weak.

I have to disagree Mike. I'm not going to lie - when my family moved from NY I was in pain. There is some good pizza on the Main Line but none of it was NY style. And then I found Bella - I was saved. It is simply the best. I don't even care that Momma Bella makes fun of me for being Calabrian. (she's Sicilian!)
