Website Asks for Wendy's Support

A recently launched website asks for citizen support for Wendy's to be constructed at the corner of Ridge and Roxborough Avenues at the former site of the Bunting House.

A similar proposal was dropped early this year due to citizen outcry over the project.

The website states:
"This family-friendly restaurant will bring a neighborhood feel to the Ridge Avenue retail corridor, making use of modern design, pedestrian & bike-friendly access, excellent landscaping, outdoor seating, and other amenities."

The site goes on to claim that a new Wendy's would create 50 new area jobs and "thisdevelopment will bring one of America’s most beloved brands and great food choices to Roxborough, and will create over 50 jobs and pay thousands of dollars in taxes to the city and to the Roxborough District."
The website also has links to an overview of the plan, how the plan will fit in with the neighborhood and how the new Wendy's interior design tries to change the conception of what a modern fast food restaurant is.
The site then goes on to ask for citizen support by asking for residents to sign a petition in favor of the restaurant.
