Philly Beer Week in Manayunk - Bavarian Barbarian Pre Bike Race Party  

Where/When:  Old Eagle Tavern, 175 Markle St, on Saturday from 8-10 p.m.

Why Go: Head out to the Old Eagle Tavern in Manyunk for a pre Bike Race party with Bavarian Barbarian from Williamburg, PA.  Meet Mike Hiller the owner & brewer, throw back a few beers and ask all your beer questions.  We will be tapping Melted Snow - bourbon barrel aged First Snow, Twisted Steel - bourbon barrel aged Steeldrivin Stout, 2x4 IPA, Steeldrivin’ Stout & Headbanger Brown.  Draft specials will be available.

Pet-A-Palooza

Where/When: Weavers Way, 559 Carpenter Lane, on Saturday from noon-4 p.m. 2 p.m. -  “Ask the Trainer” Pet training and demo; 2:30 p.m. - Silly Pet Tricks, (all welcomed to enter!); 3 p.m. - Pet Parade, (all welcome to enter!)

Why Go: Weavers Way Co-op in Mt. Airy will be going to the dogs, and to the cats and to all our other non-human friends, with Pet-A-Palooza, a celebration of all things pet. In addition to fun-filled activities like Stupid Pet Tricks and informative sessions on pet wellness and nutrition, this event will also feature exhibitors including pet-sitters, doggy day care, veterinarians, groomers, animal rescue groups, trainers, and all manner of pet-loving peeps.

Yoga Out on a Limb

Where/When: Out on a Limb Tree Adventure Exhibit, Morris Arboretum, 100 E. Northwestern Ave, on Sunday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. First of four classes.

Why Go:  This class focuses on Inasana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing), insight, meditation and relaxation. Class will be held 50 feet up in the treetops, under the canopy of leaves and sky. Enjoy the quiet space of Out on a Limb and the beauty of the human body in breath, movement and meditation. Classes will take place on June 5, July 10, August 7, and September 11.

Pricing: $20 per session for Arboretum members; $25 per session for non-members. First 30 people only; no reservations taken.

Where/When: Woodmere Art Museum, Germantown Ave at Bells Mill Rd, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Why Go: This week’s Jazz at Woodmere guests features Warren Oree & The Arpeggio Jazz Band. Enjoy live jazz music in the unique setting of an art museum.
