Meet Your New Editor, Jake Speicher

Let's get started.

Hey, how’s it going?  My name’s Jake Speicher, and I am your new Patch editor.

I’m excited to meet you, but I’m also a little nervous.  The area is new to me.

You see for the past two years I’ve been the editor of the Patch in West Chester.  I’ve been up this way a couple of times, and I’ll be moving closer at the end of the month.  But, I’m still going to need some help.

A thriving Patch site doesn’t just need an editor and readers.  It needs bloggers, commenters and calendar-event posters.  It needs business owners, school officials and government officials.

It needs you.

Also joining me will be Nate Adams as Community Manager, helping on Patch's Facebook or Twitter accounts and reaching out to community members to help post events, announcements and blogs.

As we move forward I want to know what’s important to you.  I want to know what you would like to see on this site.

I’m not hard to get a hold of.  My phone number is 610-209-2432, or you can e-mail me at jake.speicher@patch.com.

If you prefer newer styles of communication you can also reach out to me through Facebook or Twitter.

I’ve found that my favorite thing about Patch is how interactive the sites are.  They aren’t static.  They grow and evolve.  They have a pulse and breathe.  Each site is an organism unto itself.

All fancy language aside, I’m really excited for us to work together.  So, let’s get started.
