Old Man Winter Might Return ... Briefly

Yes, it's been spring for two days, but the white stuff might soon make a return, albeit briefly.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 8 p.m.

Snow might once again return to the region, much to the dismay of area residents who undoubtedly got accustomed to the nice weather these past few days.

Sunday may have been the official start of spring, but it looks as though winter weather might once again return to Philly and vicinity.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, N.J. says there is a strong chance mixed precipitation will fall on the region Wednesday night into Thursday, a slight change from an earlier forecast that told of the white stuff dropping Tuesday night into Wednesday.

A quarter to a half-inch of rain is possible on Wednesday, the NWS says, and then a chance of rain and snow showers early Thursday morning, which could possibly hamper the Thursday morning rush hour commute.

Still, it appears that the northern and western suburbs are expected to get the brunt of any inclement weather, with the city and its environs only receiving an expected coating to a half-inch of snowfall, if that.
