Schedule Changes Coming to Manayunk / Norristown Train Line

Changes are scheduled to start Monday.

Area residents who use the Manayunk/Norristown Line to get from Montgomery county to the city are about to have a change in their commute.

SEPTA has announced that, due to replacement work, a number of changes to the Manayunk/Norristown line, a line that serves Conshohocken, are set to take place Monday, June 13.

"Originally installed in 1933, the catenary wire has become brittle and subject to failure as demonstrated by the March 3, 2011 service disruption," a release on the company's website said. "Replacement of this critical infrastructure is part a of comprehensive capital investment program design to bring the system in to a state of good repair and to improve travel for customers."
